Street Magic

I've decided that this post isn't going to be about science, but something realer than quantum physics and, god forbid, math. Ew. So instead of nerds and their convoluted explanations of the cosmos, I'll treat ya to some magic.

So..without further ado. David Blain's Street magic.

He's so amazing.

Those two should really move to another state, but David's Christ-like powers would find them anywhere in the universe. He's that good.

See? Even the law can't stop David from performing his spectacular feats of presdig....prestedigi....magic.

That's all for now. hehe

End O' Year Randomness

Whew!!

I thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster for his guidance through another disgusting and disappointing x-mas. Growing up in America has made me jaded and bitter towards the ghastly consumerist nature that became of x-mas. But enough of that....

Now we have 2008 to look forward too and I hope it gets better. But from jugding the way 2007 turned out, the future isn't lookin' so bright. Cracked.com has a great article/list that summed up my contempt for the year that was 2007......

http://www.cracked.com/article_15773_2007-seven-things-we-should-pretend-never-happened.html

Ok. Now that my half-assed rant about that is over, here's something completely different. A couple of vids from Collegehumor.com...which apparently are too big for my blog, (I dunno how to edit html) so here's the youtube equivalent.

Hardest Game Ever

Asshole Mario Stage 1

I think after the first 5 deaths my controller would be sticking out of a smoldering hole in my tv. Oh those wacky Japanese and their Mario World hacks. Obviously the work of someone with too much time on his hands.

Chocolate Bunny

Hauntingly beautiful. One of my fav vids of the last few months. Strictly from an sadistic art-nerd point of view. hehe

Strandbeest

Strange engineering/art project. I'm not sure if there's any practical use for it but it sure is cool.

I think I'll end this post with a movie trailer from Bizarro World.....

Scary Mary

Tune in tomorrow, it's Science Day! YAY! Hey...where you going? Come back!! Science is cool you bastards!!!

Shitdisco

While I was wandering around today clicking on links relevant to my interests, I came across an article of the worse band names of 2007. Seems everyone and their mother has a list of some kind at the end of every year and this year is no freakin' different. Anyway, most of these bands did have pretty awful names. Like, The Asbestos Tampons, SuperHeavyGoatAss, Butt Stomach, Gay Baby, and Dance Me Pregnant. Just reading these names gave me the irresistable urge to paste, whoever came up with these names, in the face with a barbwire bat. Then do the same to their dear old grannies. How dare they spawn the mothers of retards.

I do have to admit that a couple of names were kinda cool, Those Fucking Unicorns and The Rape Ape, but I'm pretty sure their "music" is very terrible and an affront to God itself. And while I was reading the insightful comments from the lowest rung of dregs the internet has to offer, each one claiming that one of these shitty bands is awsome and will forever change the face of music for years to come. Then one of them suggested that the band Shitdisco shouldn't be on the list, claiming their video was cool enough to warrant removal from said awful band name list.

Now, Shitdisco is a pretty awful name, but the name intrigued me enough to search for any of their music videos on youtube.

So here it is....Shitdisco: OK

Pop-up book puppetry and a cool little tune you can dance to. Despite their name, I was a little surprised by how well they can play their instruments.

And since this post is about things named after fecal matter here's a clip from Tim & Eric Awsome Show

Zero Punctuation: Guitar Hero 3

Here's a funny game review for GH3: Legends of Rock. It pretty much sums up the way I feel about the game. Without the gay innuendo.

Guitar Hero 3 is a fun game, I'm happy they included songs that I always wanted to play, like, One by Metallica. But, it just isn't as fun as GH2. All because Raining Blood, by Slayer, on hard difficulty, is nigh impossible and I hate Activision for it.

Breaking Movie News: The Machine Girl

When I saw this today, I just had to make another post about it. Yep two posts in one day. Let's all hope it never happens again.

Hot Damn! I had a nerdgasm watching this trailer. That makes me want to see this movie above anything else that's coming out next year. I need a clean pair of pants.

Brawndo The Thirst Mutilator

Anyone who is a regular patron of Youtube will remember this video....

Then there was the follow up to the sack-smashing original....

God created the Heavens and the Earth. He created the animals big and small. He also created men and women all within a week. With help from the space & time altering effects that is Powerthirst. Just look it up in the bible. It's there...in the back somewhere.

Now there's Brawndo.....

This stuff will actually be for sale!

http://www.brawndo.com/

I want to be invisible and win at yelling......
THAT WOULD BE FUCKING AWSOME!!!

It's a Star Wars Christmas. OH, GOD WHY!?!?

I never got to experience the god-forsaken joy that was the Star Wars Christmas Special when it aired. Only hearing and reading about how bad it was with only a scant few images of a still young Mark Hamill not haunted by one of his only great roles (besides voicing The Joker in the Batman cartoons) and the terrible wookie costumes straight out of my nightmares.

Thanks to Star Wars completist nerds for bootlegging it and youtube, I found a video that highlights the entire special...

George Lucas has said that he hates this special and would rather delete every bootlegged copy out of existence. With extreme prejudice and I have to agree with him on this. It is pretty damn awful and I'm the type of person that likes to watch awful crap.(thanks MST3K) Even I don't think I could've survived 2 whole hours without throwing my tv out the window or tearing out my eyes with a rusty spoon.

But I think I know who is to blame for this affront to the Star Wars gods. Carrie Fisher. I just know she was the supplier of all the cocain that was consumed on set. Just look at her in those movies. She's coked out of her freakin' mind. And I'm sure that ol' Georgie wanted to be popular with the cool kids. How else do you explain those ewoks specials? Three words: Columbian nose candy.

Chris Cunningham

In my years of diving into the bowels of the net I have discovered many fantastic, awe-inspiring things. On the flipside, I've discovered a lot of things that would feast on your soul or end up blaming God for the atrocities that have been burned into your memory.

Which is a perfect segue to a music video director that evokes such awe-inspiring soul-feasting. That's a very fine line to walk. To literally make me cry at what I've seen or to violently reject everything I believed to be real and quite possibly both. lol

While looking up a rock band called The Horrors on youtube, I noticed that one of their videos was directed by the man this post is titled after. Chris Cunningham.

(The Horrors - Sheena is a Parasite)

Cool video. The band is ok. Kinda got a 60's-organ-rock-from-Britain vibe. I bet if I gave them a few more listens I would end up liking them. But that is not why we're here. The music is only secondary to the special effects. Oh so creepy effects.

Chris Cunningham is well known in England for directing music videos. Known for collaborating with Aphex Twin. If ya don't know who Aphex Twin is, he (Richard D. James, yup only 1 guy in this band) is considered a genuis in the electronic music world. Sort of like what Trent Reznor was to industrial music in the 90's. Well, at least I think that. lol

(Aphex Twin - Come To Daddy)

Seems like everything that Chris Cunningham directs turns out to be totally awsome.

(Aphex Twin - Monkey Drummer)

(Bjork - All is Full of Love)

Now we go from something beautiful like robot chicks making out to a big mindfuck that is called....

Rubber Johnny

You see? An awe-inspiring soul-feast.

Internet Gold

As some people who know me personally, know I love Japan. I dunno what it is about that country. Hot Japanese chicks, maybe? Their batshit insane sense of entertainment? Raw fish wrapped in some rice and seaweed? All of the above and more?

Thanks to my web lurking, I've found some internet gold from Japan.

(Japan's Version of Everyone Poops?)

Internet gold I tell you. INTERNET GOLD!!!

Urban Legends & Ghosts

As some of you may or may not be aware, I'm fascinated with the paranormal. You know ufos, ghosts, and various other freaky quasi-science stuff. There is a site with a series of mini-documentaries called JK Cinema.

http://www.jkcinema.com/

The site doesn't really have much to offer except for the Urban Legends Series. It's a badass series of mini-docs about the paranormal & supernatural and, you guessed it, urban legends. Most are narrated by a monotone computer voice. They just recently released the 8th of the series.

SPIRICOM
http://www.jkcinema.com/runflash.asp?id=UL8&name=Urban%20Legends%20Series:%20Spiricom&width=500&height=350&quality=best
This new one is very intriguing with a creepy ghost/afterlife subject all within the realm of science.

Here's another I found on youtube...

While were on the subject of spirits and ghosties, youtube has a wealth of ghost videos. A treasure trove, if you will, of ghost picture and video compilations.

one of my favs

Youtube has got a ton of ghost stuff from Japan. They seem to capture freakier unexplained things on film than here in America.

I dunno if ghosts are real or not. I've had a few sightings. Just a couple of freaky shadow ghost encounters. I did have a friend who called those entities "The Audience". He claimed they were all around watching us but rarely able to interact with our physical reality.

I'll end this post with a funny vid about ghosts. Afterall, you can't take everything too seriously.

Zombies!!

Halloween in only a few days away and I'm loving the great horror thats being shown on cable.

AMC has thier Monsterfest going on. Nonstop horror movies 24/7 until the big crescendo on Halloween night. I was able to catch the classics Poltergeist 1 & 2 and Hellraiser 1 & 2. Can't wait for Exorcist 1 & 2!

Right now I'm watching Day of the Dead on IFC. One of my fav zombie movies. The corpsey gorey effects are top-notch.

lol I'm sure it's awsome with a Japanese dub

Zombie movies are my fav genre of horror. It's an intriguing mythology in these modern times of uncertainty. I even have The Zombie Survival Guide. I'm totally prepared when the zombie plague hits.

It's a good read. Check it out.

The best zombie movie, in my humble opinion, is Dead Alive or Braindead.

This wonderful movie was directed by Peter Jackson. You may know him from a small low-budget series of films he directed called The Lord of the Rings. He made the most bloody zombie movie of all time. It's incredibly-super-gorey. So gorey it's retarded.

Was I right or was I right? lol

It's even got a zombie baby!

Pure Freakin' Genius!

Ok, it's early morning and I'm gonna end this post with a game of sorts. Too bad I can't embed it into the post so here's a link.

Zombie Infection Simulator

Enjoy...while you still can. Bwahahahahahahaha!!

Turok

Ok, it's been over a week since I last posted something. I've been buzzing ever since I visited Titmouse.

So now we must move on with other things that interest me. And that would be dinosaurs. Dinosaurs and ultra-fps violence. Dinosaurs, ultra-fps violence and videogames. Who can mix these things into a cocktail of bullets and gore and ancient monsters?

TUROK, FOOL!

Sorry about the age verification. Just put in 1980 for the year and you should be fine. Damn kids.

I'm am in constant awe of how far videogames have come since my childhood days of Atari, Colecovision and Nintendo.

So Much Potential!

Forget Halo. As much as I like Halo. There are plenty of games that look better. I know, some of you have a hardon for Master Chief. Good for you. But, this has dinosaurs!! DINOSAURS DAMMIT!!!!

This is looking to be a great experience. Running around shooting dudes and giant lizards. So much better than running around shooting dudes and hostile aliens.

Titmouse & Metalocalypse

Today was an adventure.

I just so happen to know someone who works on one of my fav cartoon shows: Metalocalypse. If you don't know what that is here's a clip.

Fucking Brutal

I was able to snag a little tour of Titmouse Inc. which produces the show. I must say that it was quite the experience. I got to see some of the peeps working on a music video(Mermaider) and my friend and her coworkers working on some drawings for an upcoming episode. I also got to see an early animatic of an episode which hasn't aired yet. Very thrilling stuff.....well for me anyways. lol

Here's a couple of pics..

There's the outside

Me and one o'the creators Brendan Small

I should've took more pics, especially of the stacks and stacks of drawings they had lying around(like the 4-armed baby mermaid) But, I didn't want to be a distraction with a camera flash goin off every 5 seconds. Everyone there was very cool and one of 'em thought I was an intern(I wish lol) I hope to one day be apart of that whole scene. Gives me some idea on what goes on at an animation studio. Cool peeps through and through.

Guitar Hero 3

Ahhh...guitar hero.

The game that makes my fingers wants to snap off and go on strike. The songs on the second installment are fun and I am working my way through the expert career mode, (which took me nearly a year to get to). The songs are hard as hell and they make my hands ache just thinking about it.

Now, GH3 is releasing to the world at the end of the month and I gotta say that I'm impressed with the tracklist this time around, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Metallica, The Dead Kennedys, The Rolling Stones just to name a few. And some of the bonus bands I've actually heard of made the cut. But there's one band in the bonus section that I know I'll love to hate. DRAGONFORCE.....

I'm Scared!

Ozzie's Bark at the Moon was hard, so was Buckethead's Jordan. But, this makes me cry.

Superman is a dick..

I found this great site, superfun 100%!

http://www.superdickery.com/

Real comicbook covers, sadistic superman scenarios.
Don't belive me? check this out....

(click for bigger pic)

He always seems so happy when he's killing her...

and that is the tip o' the iceberg lol

Plus there are other galleries of old unbelieveable comic covers....enjoy!

CryptoExe

It's Halloween people and here's something new to scare the skeletons out of small children.(My fav pastime BTW)

I love cryptozoology. Bigfoot, Nessie, The Mothman, El Chupacabra etc. ect. I like the idea of animals or beings that are just outside the reach of modern science. The supernatural paranormal beasties seen out of the corner of your eye, shit that makes ya do a double-take. The stuff of legends and myths that become ingrained in our psyches. Is it real or is it some jerk in a fursuit or a sheet with eye-holes cut out? I love it all. It's what makes life worth living.

Then I saw this......

It's not the whole film which is sad. Apparently whoever owns the film had it removed from youtube. But there are other vids that are "studies". Which is what I got posted here.
This little film was "found" lol. They're calling it The Gable Film: The Michigan Dogman. It reminds me of the famous Patterson bigfoot film. Who knows if it's fake or not. Frankly, it doesnt matter to me. It's a creepy testament to what man hasn't discovered. And if it is a fake, kudos to whoever made it. It's an incredible piece of art.

Ooooh, Second post.....

Hehe, I guess I should be surprised.

One of my most fav tv shows is making a slow comeback from cancellation hell. Can anyone guess what that might be? Anyone....anyone? A free cookie to whoever can answer.

GAH! I can't hold it in any longer. It's FUTURAMA!!!!!

How many years has it been? Watching the show religiously on Adult Swim, buying the dvd's just to hear the creators commentary and secretly plotting and scheming to blow up Fox Network for cancelling the show. But now it's making the slow return to life. Yay! I'm a happy monkey!

So now there's a trailer for the DVD movie and I'm gonna shamelessly promote it like theres no tomorrow. *cough*

HELL FROZE OVER!!! FUTURAMA IS COMING BACK AND SATAN WANTS A SWEATER!!!!

Keepin' Up Wit Da Joneses

Well, here it is. My blog thing is now active and ready to eject hot slimy retribution onto the interwebs. I am now like the rest of the people with blogs. I got opinions that no one will listen to no matter how loud I scream. So.....uhhhhhhhhhhh.....yeah.

First post completed.

Directions on how to remove the spyware from your computer after visiting my corner of the internet will follow.......
